Singapore is a constantly evolving nation. Our policies have evolved according to the times, and so has our landscape, but what remains largely unchanged is our infrastructure system. Transport is crucial in economic growth and maintaining economic competitiveness. However, with a large increase in population, the heavy utilization of current public transport infrastructures have led to breakdowns, delays and traffic congestions. However, more can be done to increase our standard of living. Furthermore, the rising cost of public transportation is not reflective of the improvements in the public transportation infrastructure.
